WEEE registration cost calculator for Germany
Enter your equipment types, the number of brands in each and the quarter you register in. One row per equipment type (Geräteart) you sell. Each brand in an equipment type is its own registration. All of them sit under your one registration number, so the quarterly fee is charged once.

The calculator only adds up the fees in the ordinance. It does not decide whether your products are covered by the ElektroG or which equipment type is right. Questions
How many WEEE registrations do I need in Germany?
One per brand and equipment type. Item 1.1 of the annex to the ElektroGBattDGGebV charges the grant "per producer, brand and equipment type". Two brands in the same equipment type are two registrations.
Is the quarterly fee pro-rated?
No. Item 1.2 charges EUR 32.80 per registration number for every started calendar quarter. A registration granted in March pays the first quarter in full.
What does the authorised representative cost?
A producer with no establishment in Germany has to appoint one (§ 8 ElektroG). The authority charges EUR 50.60 to confirm the appointment (item 1.7). The representative's own fee is not set by the ordinance, so you need a quote.
What does the guarantee for household equipment cost?
The ordinance only sets the reviews: EUR 3.80 per equipment type and calendar year for the guarantee amount (item 1.5) and EUR 156.90 per individual guarantee you submit, for the review in principle (item 1.4). The guarantee amount itself and guarantee system contributions are not calculated here.
What does battery registration under the BattDG cost?
EUR 16.40 per brand and battery category for the registration (item 2.1) and EUR 3.80 per registration number and started calendar quarter (item 2.2). If you join a producer responsibility organisation, its charges come on top and are not set by the ordinance.
After you register: keep the dates
